RíRá is a contemporary traditional band from Galway, Ireland that has developed a reputation as a group of fine entertainers, bringing a unique, infectious energy to their performance. Their contemporary interpretations of traditional songs and tunes coupled with their imaginative take on modern pieces, has earned this band a strong following across Ireland and internationally.
The band, whose roots are from Tuam town and surrounds, have played festivals throughout Europe and also worked with the Saw Doctors on several occasions, opening gigs for them in Galway and in Manchester, UK and feature as 'The Joyce Country Céile Band' in The Saw Doctors 'Live in Galway' DVD. Following a very successful single release "Bring It All Your Love" the band was chosen to play at Dublin's Hard Working class Heroes Festival in 2006.
